Context

Camp Shelby is a military post in Hattiesburg, MS. It is the nation's largest state-owned and operated training site. It was established in 1917 and named for Isaac Shelby, a Revolutionary War hero and the first Governor of Kentucky. Shelbyville and Shelby County were both named for Isaac Shelby.
