Gentlemen's walking stick with gold handle. At base of handle are two band and above bands are vertical columns in a floral, leafy or feather like pattern. There are two differenct heights of columns and each column is topped by a triangle of 3 circles. At top of handle is a horizontal band in the same floral p, leafy pattern. The wood is black and 2 5/8" from bottom of cane is a metal band 1 1'2" wide.
Old collection card reads: Shelby County gave this cane to Wm. S. Ensley when he was commissioner in 1868. Andrew J. Ensley gave it to the Shelby Co. Musuem. Donor Mrs. Thomas Hawkins, April 1940.Collection
