Cane made from sapling or tree limb; bark removed; knots visible where small branches originally were; some knots cut flush to can but 6 others are slightly raised; each knot area treated so didn't accept darker stain that rest of cane did & this creates areas of dark & lighter wood; crook is appox. 5" on outside; bottom brass tipped.

Ira Isley was blacksmith in Mt. Auburn late 19th & early 20th century; also did some wood working; made cane handle by boiling water and bending.Collection
