Side chair; arched back has decorativbe carving around edges and center is woven cane; seat is blue fabric with red, white green and dark blue needlepoint floral pattern; apron has 7 horizontal ridges; rectangular cartouche in apron above each front leg; front legs are turned, taper to smaller size at bottom, have a ring 2 1/8" from bottom, top of front legs have decorative touches; back legs have slight saber shape; metal buttons on bottom of each leg. Margaret Birely was daughter of Charles Birely of local furniture factory fame, used in Birely home when at 120 W. Mechanic, when she broke up houskeeping gave to Donor"s mother; donor gave in memory of her mother, Serena Perry.
