Wood frame chair with blue, soft velour like upholstered seat and back; wood showing is brown (probably stained) arms, legs, front rail and front of back side pieces have decorative gold band; back legs curved saber style; back rest also curved to match sway in human back; back is adjustable for angle of reclining by left brass rod across the back and resetting in a series of notches secured to the back leg.
Donor's acquired chair several years ago when they purchased Dr. Chadwick's home to use as a rental property; chair and other items had been left by the Chadwick family.
Chair is 1984.028.001A
Brass Rod is 1984.028.001B since the rod could very easily get lost
