School slate; gas wood frame which has holes drilled in it through which a cord runs that secures a red flet binding to edge of wood; wood is unfinished; slate has permanently incised lines for straight writing.
Special funciton: Used in schools instead of more excpensive papter; lessons could be done then erased and new study practiced. Mrs. Lorene Lemmon brought slate in for a donation on behalf of someone but didn;t supply name so no named paperwork on this item.Collection
