Chambers RangeDescription
Black and white film negitive, image is of a Chambers Stove, has small vertical back behind the cooking surface and this back has a bell-shaped device on the top that houses a timer and is surmounted by an electric light with a pull chain.
Cooking surface has a gridle on the left, 3 burners on right side and where a 4th burner should be is a round covered area. Appears to have 2 ovens of different sizes and there is a dial over the smaller oven. There are 8 latch-like devices on front of some of which are probably regulatory controls. Written in pencil above the image is "7141D". Stove is on some kind of a base which is black. Negative covered in red opaque except for the area of the image. Original envelope was too dirty and brittle to keep, but it was inscribed "Chambers Corp/1-Stove at factory/Jan 5,1935". ****Black and white glossy print was made of this image February 11, 1988 and is stored in Photo Room, 8 x 10 Drawer, 86.1.154.Collection
