Black and white photographic print; subject is male probably 50 or older; waist-up view but at angle to lens; subject holding right hand to temple, has thoughtful look; full head of hair parted in middle and curled on ends, appears grey at temple; shirt has stiff Edwardian-style collar, long necktie has widely spaced polka dots, appears to be pearl stickpin through knot of tie; dark frock- style coat is open. Directly below photo is inscribed in ink: "To O. Jay Glessner/with my kind regards./Charles Major". Donor purchased photo in a frame with a mat; the mat also autographed by Major. Donor kept frame but gave mat and print to museum.
