Black and white photographic print of a frame house with clapboard siding; has Greek Revival detailing; 2-story house; 4 windows with shutters to right of house (2 over 2); entryway is to left side of house and is a small portico with 2 full columns supporting roof and 2 half columns frame door, the same scheme is used directly above the entry except a wrought iron railing has been added to the 2nd floor porch; full-length column-like decorative trim is used near entry; dentaling visible under eaves; 1 chimney and 2 lighting rods ; plants in summer foliage. According to donor, this picture was taken in 1957 with a ca. 1912 Brownie box camera by either J.T. Murphy or his wife. Donor further identified the structure as being the home of Claude C. Cherry, of Hendricks Twp, and the first place in the county where Ruhms Phosphate was applied. Donation, 11/13/1983.Collection
