Black & white carte d'visite; subject is full frontal of male child sitting in small chair; light color hair cut short and combed forward; elaborate costume; jacket is front closing, possible has sailor's collar, definitely has long skirts on sides, dark banding along inside edge of garment could be cording; collar of shirt unusual but can't see details, shirt cuffs are lace; wearing skirt w/2 rows of vertical buttons, has ribbed spats that disappear under skirt.
Back of mount is printed "G. Weingarth/ N.W. Corner Public Square,/Shelbyville, Ind."
