Small off-white mittens w/blue cuffs plus a blue & white cord located approx 1-1/2" down from cuff; tassel made from blue & white yarn on the draw string; hand made w/a crochet edge on cuffs; strings & pom-poms are 3" long. Sub-numbered A & B.

by Mary Hill Scheffler (1875-1954), as a baby.

Context

The donor, Ethel Scheffler, was Mary's daughter. She suspected Mary's mother, Sarah Snyder Hill (1846-1911), made the mittens.
