Donation, 08/09/1981. Used by: Louis H. Grover. Originated: France. (A) Postcard. Message on back of card: "I THINK OUR NEXT/XMAS WILL BE/HAPPIER THAN/THIS ONE/CAN WE MAKE IT SO?" White card stock with image done in silk embroidery. Colors are red, white, blue, yellow, green, pale blue, lavendar. Image is of the French and American flags intertwined and surrounded by a garland of blue flowers. Across the bottom in lavendar thread is "SOUVENIR DE FRANCE". Lifting flap of top embroidery reveals an interior pocket with a 1.625 x 3.625" card (B) reading "HAPPY CHRISTMAS".
