Basically a 2 part device; bottom part consists of 2 iron or steel plates, the top plate moves across the surface of the bottom plate which is stationary, both plates have serrated edges that line up to provide a cutting surface; 2nd part is handle section made of bright non-ferrous metal, bas of handle section attaches to the bottom part by means of a threaded rod and wing nut, handles extend up and back from this base, right handle is fixed and has an arm that curves out from the top, left handle squeezes in and has a small arm at right angle to it. Marks: inside of one handle is stamped: "BOKER/MASTE/NEWYORK/MADE IN USA:
Special function; by squeezing the right handle in the top plate moves; handle squeezes left and plate moves right, handle returns right and the plate goes left; this back and forth movement between the plates caught hair between the serrations and clipped it off.Collection
