Back of Photo: Originally - This bridge - Built by & for the old Knightstown RR system. Stood at East Franklin Street and Little Blue River - In the city of Shelbyville Indiana. This was away back there Likely in and before the days of the civil war -
Then in later years, after the old Knightstown RR Co. system ceased operation. this bridge was moved to its present location and used as a gravel road bridge. "printed in blue ink Across Flat Rock River - Norristown Pike Near Flatrock Cave"
A new bridge located upstream a short distance from this old bridge will replace it during this year.
