Name/Title
CurlerDescription
Round device; main housing is plastic, sort of a brown color; one end is more narrow and tapers to a blunt point, this part has a slot cut thru it and a metal loop sticks out on each side of the slot, fitting over one of loops is a spring powered hair curling device, at 90 degrees to slot is a groove on both sides of the tapered point and each groove has a small metal rod with ends bent 90 degrees; there is a thicker collar behind tapered point, and has 3 slots in it, 2 of the slots are for grooves and 1 for the hair curler; handle has 5 bands and ends in cap like device that pull-pushes metal rods in the slots; also 2 metal buttons on the collar.
On barrell is "Earle/Automotic/Curler/Pat. Pend"
This device was suppose to insert a bobby pin into the hair once it was curled; done probably by using the end cap to push-pull the metal rods in slot; assume device required more time than simply using hand to push in bobby pin and as such was to much bother to fool with.
