Doll made of fabric approximately flesh tone; shoes are a woven fiber material attached to feet w/lacings up the legs; has on a green print dress with orange and white pattern of cicles, scallops and lines; wearing black coat w/arms crossed in front holding a walking stick; has on a print babushka of blue & white and at least 2 shades of red; has on a red & white diamond pattern head covering under babushka; has small black glass beads for eyes; cheeks and lips painted red. Cloth label sewn around middle of doll under the coat is printed in English 'MADE IN SOVIET UNION PEASANT GIRL ON THE ROAD" Used by Charlotte Kemper According to donor she purchased doll in 1932 and doll is called "Baba Yaga" See also 1988.010.002
