17” tall doll with bisque head and china arms and lower legs. Jointed at elbows, knees and hips. No markings noted. Eyebrows, lashes and lips are painted on. Hair is brown closely woven material attached to head and pinned up in back. The dress is linen, pale pink color with blue embroidered French knots around round collar, scallop design around deep hem and around sleeves. The hat is pink velvet with French knots at top of brim and the back is black velvet with a few feathery details. She has a white bow in her hair. Black tie shoes with tiny buckles. She is anchored on a stand.
Believed to be Heubach Koppelsdorf, maker's mark reads "Germany." below is a set of three numbers, partially obscured by the leather of her body, likely reads "975". Heubach Koppelsdorf was a manufacturer of bisque heads, the leather body with joints were likely made elsewhere.Context
Circa 1913 - 1983 and donated by David Sever in 2021. Belonged to Velma Barnett Sever, a resident of Flat Rock Indiana. She was the daughter of D.B. Barnett & Daisy Muldoon Barnett.Collection
