A copy of "Dorothy Vernon of Haddon Hall" by Charles Major, with black-stamped title centered between two blind-stamped decorations on red buckram. Though not easily seen, the blind-stamped decorations depict two emblems / crests. On the left-hand side, a peacock stands perched above a crest. On the right-hand side, a boar's head sits above a crest containing an X that crosses through a diamond shape at the center. The author's name is also black-stamped at the bottom of the front cover. This photoplay edition, the Mary Pickford Edition, includes photographs of Canadian actress Mary Pickford as she appeared in the novel's 1924 film adaptation.Category
