Snare drum made in 3 parts; 1st part is wood ring, near top are 2 pieces of wood (quarter wound shape) glued around circumference of the ring' drum head used to be stretched over this area, starting just below the outside pieces, glued so that it is stretched to conform to shape of rings, an occasional nail was used to hold skin tight; snd piece is a wood ring,1 3/16" high that fits over the main part to just under the quarter round rings; 3rd part is a 3rd wood ring 1 3/16" high that main ring fits into and 3 rd ring butts up to 2nd. ring.
Marks: paper label inside drum head reads "lyon & Healy/Factories, Healy Station/Warerooms, Wabash Ave. and Adams St./Chicago"
Special Function: originally belonged to donor's grandfather.
Remarks: Trhrr rings subnumbered 83.772A'2B and 2C. Found inside a carrying case along with items 83.772 through 83.77.13; case is 83.77.14Use
