INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE OF ALTITUDE DISTANCE FINDER
The Altitude-Distance Finder will help you measure the altitude OR the distance of Very Heavy Multi-Motor and Jet type air-craft.
It will NOT measure BOTH the altitude and distance. To use the Altitude Distance Finder-
(1) Grasp the Finder in the lower right hand corner.
(2) Hold the Finder at full arm's length.
(3) When the aircraft is at an angle above 450, sight and fit the fuselage in the proper circle in the upper row of rings. Measure the altitude and report as "Low", "High" or "Very High". Estimate the Distance when you use the upper row of rings.
(4) When the aircraft is at an angle below 450, sight and fit the fuselage in the proper circle in the lower row of rings. Measure the Distance as marked below the proper ring and report in number of miles. Esti-mate the altitude when you use the lower row of rings.
(5) Report altitude and distance determined in their proper place in the Aircraft Flash Message.Transcriber
