Eye glasses have oval glass lenses in gold colored metal frame, nose piece is slightly arched shape, ear pieces are missing; case is metal covered with black leather looking substance and inside is lined with blue velour; underside of case stamped with gold lettering, has a griffin holding a pair of eyeglasses and below that is "DR. JOSEPH E. KERNEL/ The Wm. H. Block Co/ Optical Dept./ Indianapolis - Ind."
Nose piece of eye glasses are stamped "XGO Co X"
Unsure of date because glasses look as if could be from the 19th century, but case may be a 20th century object.
