sheet of card stock; one side is printed in black and gives the Shelbyville Fire Alarm code; also phone number for the Fire Station, a service phone and the police department; botton printed side is an advertisement for Dr. R. A. Major, optometrist; Shelbyville had fire alarm boxes scattered throuthout the city and when ever one was tripped a specific code on a siren was sounded so the fire department knew where to go; each box had its own signal or code; printed sheets like this were popular so the curious could find the fire.
