Description

Top of device made from one piece of iron that is bent into a sort of 'shoulder' shape, bottom of this piece has two 90 degree bends and center of each bend is drilled and a pointed metal rod is inserted through hole; these metal rods are threaded on one end and secured by a nut; rods also hold in place middle section of tool which is set on a horizontal plane; underside of middle section has a cogged wheel and attached to the wheel is the screw. Special Function: tool used to lift loose hay from a wagon into hay mowof a barn; whole tol lowered from mow into wagon; suspect turning of screw compacted hay between the two arms (much like twirling a fork in spaghetti) then compacted mass raaised to hay mow; had a faded paper tag glued on the appeared to read "Otto Harris".
