Scope and Content

Donation, 08/09/1981. Used by: Louis H. Grover Originated: France. Back is marked: "G" encircled by a series of circular dots and square dots, and inscribed: "FROM A S.H./TO A/SWEET-HEART/LOUIS". (A) An unusual postcard on card stock. Front is a silk embroidery. Colors are red, white, blue, green, purple, yellow and lavendar. Image is portion of American flag in a circle surrounded by garland of flowers. At bottom in red is embroidered "SOUVENIR DE FRANCE". Lifting flap of top embroidery reveals an interior pocket with (B) a card, 2.875 x 1.75", has a village scene and words: "A KISS FROM FRANCE".
