A stock receipt from blank receipt book; paper has white border then there is a decorative border with a cartouche like symbol in each corner inside this area paper is lithoed blue with fine intersecting wavy lines; on far left side is allegorical symbol of young woman in clinging costume standing in wheat field, appears to have wreath in her flowing hair and a flower at her bosom; receipt is signed by Stewart and Fix and made out to George McBride for $22 paid on balance of wife's funeral expense.
