Black and white photographic print of a man in his fifties or so. An upper torso view at about 3/4 angle; man's hair is parted on left side, roached up in front, big handle bar mustache. Appears to have an artificial collar and his long tie is askew. Also wearing a double-breasted coat with a vest. There is a faint embossed filigree border around the print. Mount is a gray color. Lower right corner of mount is stamped: "Harley/Shelbyville, Ind." Back of mount inscribed "George McBride".Photograph Details

This photograph of George W. McBride was previously owned by his eldest daughter, Daisy (1874-1980). The donor received the print after Daisy's death. Notes found mixed in with Daisy's photographs state that George McBride was born in Knightstown, Ind. Aug 18, 1850, and died in Shelbyville Apr. 30, 1915.Collection
