Description

Empire-style dress of yellow silk brocade, high waistline edged with 1" belt with bow in front. Bodice has short cap sleeves and low wiide "V" neckline. Eight-gored skirt with left-side zipper closing at waist, a snap holds belt in place.

by Mary M. Davies Kellam, as a Junior Bridesmaid at the Dec. 22, 1957 wedding of Carolyn Lou Davies and Glen Emerson Mills at Lewis Creek Baptist Church.

Context

The dress's material was purchased at Goodman's Department Store in Shelbyville, IN and made by the donor's mother, Mildred Davies.
