One boxed pair of spats, dark grey with 4 buttons & a strap and buckle, contained in a box with single sheet of tissue paper. Manufacturer's tag in the box reads: CHAS F. CLARK, INC./CHICAGO/ 35% Wool 34% Reprocessed Wool 25% Reused Wool 6% Cotton 10% Rayon Lid of box reads: Popularity Spats. Front side of box lid has 1.75 in red; No. (illegible); Color: (illegible); SIZE: 7 (marked in red ink) Donor stated that the spats originally came from Stephen's Shoe Store. John Schoelch of Hub's Shoe Store obtained them for the Hub's Shoe Store in the late 30s or early 40s.
