Tintype (sheet iron); upper torso view of man facing camera; dark hair parted left (image reversed) and combed over; small tuft of whiskers at bottom of chin; wearing dark coat & vest; lapels of coat trimmed w/dark edging,vest buttons almost to neck, has small lapels, watch chain handing from one vest button; wearing some type of bow tie; image taped to a paper mat w/die cut oval & light gold color trim.
