Description

Base is rectangular wooden piece around which is wrapped a thin sheet of iron; many iron nails have been driven throuth the sheet and the base and extend approx. 2 1/2" from base; there are two holes at opposite ends of the nails. This item was used to comb flax to prepare it for spinning into thread.
