George Jordan was an early Shelby County collecytor and amatuer archaeologist. 3/4 groove axe, tan-white mingled appearance. Fairly rough to the touch, single cutting edge. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleantologist, dated this artifact in the Archaic Period, 8000-6000 BC. 01/20/2018 Identified by Luke Cord as Full Grooved Axe (Archaic Period 8000-6000 BP)
