George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Single hole pendant, slate gray in color. Oblong and tapers from 1 3/4" at one end to 1 1/2" at other end. Wider end and one long side are flat; other two side are slightly rounding. A hole drilled midway of the long side. smooth and polished. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC-AD 800.Collection
