George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Glacial Kame & Adena three hole gorget. Slate colored, oblong in shape. Dark gray on all surfaces, one surface is slightly convex the other is flat. All four sides are flat. Two of the drilled holes are 1/2" apart. The third hole is 7/8" from the second hole. Smooth and polished. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC-AD 800.Collection
