George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Salvaged drilled gorget, brown slate colord, flat on both sides and slightly convex on other. There is 1 hole and a round indentation on the flat side. Highly polished sandstone. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC-AD 800.Collection
