George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Two hole gorget, slate color, flat on one surface and grounded on others. Flat on one end, other three sides are slightly round. Holes are 1 1/4" from one end and 1 5/8" from other end. Smooth and polished. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC - AD 800.Collection
