Description

George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Two hole gorget, slate gray with dark gray stripes ringing one side. Other side has dark gray stripes running diagonanally. Flat on both surfaces, the sides and ends are rounded. Holes are 1" from one end and 1 1/4" fron other end. Ends are almost serrated. Smooth and pol ished. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC - AD 800.
