George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Bell Pestle, gray mottled color. Rises to cone shape from 3 7/8" base to 1/2" top. Conical in shape, top is rough and slightly rounding. Bottom an indentation near one edge. Edges are rounding, bottom edge is more flat on ne side. Unpolished. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC-AD 800.Collection
