Description

George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Hand Axe, pinkish tan in color; All four sides are edged. Formed by pressure flaking. Both sides are slightly convex. Brown marks and lines on both surfaces. One side has a 1" fracture. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC-AD 800.
