George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Celt, light gray in color, rectangular in shape. Surfaces are rounding, sides are flat. One end is rounded and one end is flat. Dark brown markings on both side. One surface is smooth the top surface is smooth on 1/2 of tool and rouugh on the other. Sides are flat, one end has a tapered cutting edge. Other end rounded. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC-AD 800.Collection
