George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Celt, dark gray mingled with lighter gray in color. Surfaces are rounding and taper from a flat 1" thick end to a tapered edge at the other. Sides are flat, it is rough on all surfaces except the tapered edge, which is smooth.
In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleontologist, dated this artifact Woodland Period, 1000 BC-AD 800.
