George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amatuer archaeologist. Flint chisel, is shaped like a chisel, it is taller in the middle. Two opposite sides are curving with the ends tapering to a point. In 2000, Teresa Putty, Paleantologist, dated this artifact as Woodland Period, 1000 BC-AD 800.
