Full groove axe, gray-like color w/ specks of blackish gray. Lighter color on one side. Small dark discoloration near cutting edge on one side. Single cutting edge. In 2000 Teresa Putty, Paleantologist, dated this artifact as 8000-6000 B.C., the Archaic Period. George Jordan was an early Shelby County collector and amateur archaeologist. 01/20/2018 Identified by Luke Cord as Full Grooved Axe (Archaic Period 8000-6000 BP)
