SN 1/20/21 - We have not found any evidence confirming that this photograph is the last running of the interurban. Based on the businesses and other elements seen in the photograph, we can for sure date it c. 1923 - 1931
Description used for PS Exhibit 2021:
c. 1923 - 1932 The interurban passing through Public Square is captured in this photograph and the local fire department is seen responding to a call at Security Trust and Savings on the southwest quadrant of the Square.
Businesses seen in the south segment of the southeast quadrant (from L to R) are John Hartman Saloon and Restaurant, Woolworths 5 & 10 Store (in the Query Building built in 1920), Morris Greenburg Dress Wear, Strong Hardware Store, and Gartner's Delicatessen.
