Sad iron for ironing clothes. It is in two parts, one part is made of cast iron. It is a solid cast,pointed at both ends and wide in the middle. There is a bolt shaped device cast in to the top. The second piece is made of rolled or stamped iron. It has the same shape as the cast piece and fits over it. The 'bolt' on the cast iron piece entends thrugh a hole in the top of the second piece whee a sliding piece of metal locks the two together. wnd piece has black wood handle.
