wedge shaped or shaped like a piece of pie; solid casting is wider in back and opposite end is pointed; sole was originally polished smooth and rest of surfaces were somewhat rough; handle is cast also and it secures to the main body at 2 raised, round points; front and back of handle is round rod, twice curved; top of handle has larged diameter than front and back parts, top section somewhat flattened upper and lower surface and the sides has a series of "X" marks for grips; top of bottom portion is marked "2/A&W"
