Description

A copper kettle with an iron loop handle; copper had a hammered look and only one visible seam; it is rolled out over itself and then under at the top forming a round rim; loop handle is attached to iron brackets which are riveted to the sides with large copper rivets; iron brackets are stamped with a "2". This type of kettle used to cook apples down into apple butter over an open fire.
