A and B: Identical black and white cabinet photographs on ivory mount. Image is of a young boy, light hair parted on left side, cut short above the ears. Child is wearing a dark three-piece suit: jacket, vest, skirt. Jacket is long-sleeved, has wide lace collar resting on shoulders, white lace handkerchief in breast pocket, wide lace cuffs at wrists. Vest has a row of large buttons buttoned down the front. Skirt is ankle-length and has a double row of buttons down the front. Dark shoes. Child is holding in his left hand a dark hat with a white fur brim. His right arm is resting on an elaborately-fringed velvet chair.
