Steel blade; wood handle 4-3/8" long secured by 6 rivets, 2 rivets arranged in vertical set near butt, 2 more rivets arranged in vertical set near blade other 2 rivets arranged in horizontal line between 2 vertical sets; back of blade curves so that point is higher than tang; cutting edge is aprox 9/16 near handle and is narrower than tang at 1"; tang does not extend full length of handle. Remnant of stamped mark left in blade; one section shows part of rectangle, inside is an "X" with a circle between each of arms; also visible are letters"...ELD/ND" Used by John W. Warble.
