Set of 3 knives; one is 7-7/8" long, has 2 piece wood handle secured to tang by 2 brass rivets, butt end of handle has hole drilled thru it, back of blade higher than grip but cutting edge honed down;
2nd knife 12-5/8" long, has stainless steel blade, tang inserted into 2" split in wood handle & secured by 2 brass rivets, drilled hole in butt of grip, back edge of blade honed to a curved shape;
3rd knife possibly dates to 19th century 17-1/4" long and blade is 13" of heavy iron has curved wood handle & iron ring at hafting.
One blade engraved "Clyde Stainless Steel/Made in USA"
May have belonged to Horatio Davis, A Morristown School Teacher, but no documentation.
