2 part device; first part is solid casting, main part of casting is curve piece where one end terminates in a flat pointed surface roughly tringular in shape, 2nd. part of casting is an arm that crurves down and away from main part; 2nd part of device is a coiled wire handle that joins the ends of the main part of the cast with the end of secondary arm.
Special Function, Used on wood and coal burning stoves to lift the various size plates on the cooking surface; the triangular shaped end fit into notches on the plates and that way hot metal could be removed from the stove to check the fire or adjust the amount of flame hitting a pan.Collection
